An independent rally raid (no W2RC points) that keeps to the African route the Dakar Rally once ran. The 2026 edition covered 12 stages from Tangier in Morocco, down through Mauritania, to the finish in Dakar, Senegal. 172 crews started and 124 finished.
On two wheels, Kevin Gallas (Germany, Yamaha Ténéré 700) won by just 41 seconds — a rookie victory in only his third rally raid, reported as a one-two for the Ténéré Yamaha Rally Team. The rest of the podium could not be confirmed from our sources.
