Racing in Japan 2026 — Enduro, Cross-Country, Hard Enduro and Rally

Hard enduroHard enduro: rocks, steep climbs and ledges, where getting through at all is the contest. Three series run in parallel — the All-Japan Hard Enduro Championship (the successor to G-NET), the CGC Hard Enduro Championship, and We-Net Japan, a cross-series ranking that started in 2026.

EnduroThe MFJ All-Japan Enduro Championship and the five regional championships (Hokkaido, East, Central, West and Kyushu). These are on-time enduros: you ride a fixed route to a schedule, and the result comes from your cumulative special-test times. Every All-Japan round runs over two days.

Cross-countryCross-country (JNCC and WEX): timed races decided on how many laps you complete, on long loops through forest and over ski-resort slopes. JNCC is the sharp end, WEX is aimed at beginners through to upper-intermediate riders. Both come from the same organiser.

RallyAdventure rallies. Less a race than a navigation event: you follow a set route using a map and a road book, and large adventure bikes are welcome.

One event can count towards more than one series. The Gosho Autoland 2 Days, for instance, is both All-Japan Enduro Championship Rd 1 and Kyushu Enduro Championship Rd 2, so it carries two badges. Entry windows are shown only where the organiser publishes them.

About "Spectators catered for". Watching a race and entering one need different information, so that is a separate filter from the discipline. The tag marks races where the organiser publishes something for spectators — insurance, parking, advance registration. JNCC and WEX both provide free spectator accident cover (up to 50 million yen) in return for a signed waiver, and Kegon asks spectators to register in advance and pay for parking. A race without the tag is not one you cannot watch. It means we found no published guidance. Ask the organiser before you travel.

How the series fit together

The national championship and five regional onesAll sanctioned by the MFJ, Japan's national federation. The regions are Hokkaido, East, Central, West and Kyushu. Each of the four national rounds also counts as a round of a regional championship, so those events appear under two series at once.
JNCC and WEXThe same organiser runs both: JNCC over nine rounds, WEX over eight rounds each in an East and a West series. The national meetings in September and October count towards both East and West. JNCC describes the combined programme as around 25 events a year.
The All-Japan Hard Enduro Championship is the successor to G-NETG-NET stopped running after the 2023 season and merged with CrossMission from 2024 to form the present championship. Three of its six rounds are promoted by organisers other than CROSS MISSION. Older articles still describe G-NET as if it were current.
We-Net Japan started in 2026A ranking laid over existing hard enduros, leaving each event's own format and rules alone. Only the top 20 in the TOP category score, and the first six overall receive trophies and prizes. Three races count in 2026.

We do not guess round numbers or venuesWhere an organiser publishes no round number, we print none. The sequence often implies one, but an inference is not what the organiser said.
Entry windows only where they are publishedA wrong deadline costs someone a season. If we cannot find the dates, we leave the field out entirely.
When an official source contradicts itself, we say soPages from the same organiser sometimes disagree. Rather than quietly picking one, we note the disagreement on the race itself.
