The oldest hard enduro in the world, first run in 1967, and billed by the organisers as “THE MOTHER OF HARD ENDURO.” It takes place in the Maloti Mountains of Lesotho, covering 250–350 km over three days at altitudes never below 1,400 m and often above 3,000 m. Day one sets the running order for day two through the “Round the Houses” prologue and the “Mountain Mayhem” time trial; the two mountain stages that follow are 90–150 km each. There are four classes — Gold, Silver, Bronze and Iron — with Gold the hardest and Iron the most forgiving. Live tracking, big screens and helicopter rescue back up a stated commitment that nobody is left behind. An adventure-bike ride runs alongside the hard enduro. The Lesotho Off-Road Association (LORA) organises it. It was held in November for many years; in 2026 it moved to September.
