The sport’s emblematic event, staged in the vast open-cast iron ore mine known as the Iron Giant. 2026 was its 30th anniversary running. It is one of the two races that founded the HEWR.
Mani Lettenbichler won for the fifth time, a fifth in a row. A qualifying event was held at the Red Bull Ring on 31 May — the first in the race’s history — which set part of the starting order for the main event.
